Ethereal

There was a little girl with drugs in her pocket,
and sex in her knowledge,
with addiction in her heart
living with no rest or solace.
Her world was chaos,
it was lawless.

Her mind was cloudy and dull,
with demons in her arsenal.
She devoured and consumed but she never got full.
I guess you could say she loved water but there was always a whisper telling her to drown in the pool.

She followed the sound of promise, of hope, of healing.
She realized that sound had been there from the beginning.
Music connected her darkness to her salvation,
she discovered Christ leading a nation,
finding cause for celebration!

It’s all cus of God she don’t look like what she been through…
Or maybe she do?
Maybe pain in darkness radiates beauty too?
